About the Author
Thane Hubbell is a COBOL Programmer for 15 years. Thane has a working knowledge of a wide variety of systems from Mainframe to Mini to PC. They have designed and developed full-scale systems from initial concept or idea to deployed product. Through his role as a flight instructor, Thane has come to understand how people learn and think in high-pressure situations – such as in a programming environment. Initially a self-taught programmer, with later education from IBM, Thane knows what it takes to learn a programming language and how to teach one.
