About the Author
Robert Nielsen Boyd was an American chemist (organic chemistry). From 1947 he was a Professor of Chemistry at New York University. He received his doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley in 1939 under Joel H. Hildebrand (The Effect of Temperature on the Composition of Mercury). He is best known as the author of a textbook on organic chemistry with Robert T.
