Book Description – Flutter Complete Reference pdf
Flutter Complete Reference pdf – Flutter is Google’s UI toolkit for building beautiful and native applications for mobile, desktop, and web from a Dart codebase. In this book, we cover the Dart programming language (version 2.10, with null security support) and the Flutter framework (version 1.20) in detail in this book. While reading the chapters, you will find lots of good practices, tips, and performance advice for building high-quality products.
The book is divided into 3 parts. Part 1: It is about the Dart programming language (Classes, Exceptions, Inheritance, Void Safety, Streams, SOLID principles…). Part 2. It is about Flutter Framework (Localization, Routing, State Management with Blocks and Providers, Testing, Performance with DevTools, Animations…). Part 3. This is a long collection of examples (Using Firestore, Monetizing Apps, Using Gestures, Networking, Publishing Packages to Pub. Dev, Race Detection with ML Kit, Playing Audio and Video. ..). The book’s official website has a full source code of examples and a “quiz game” to test your dart and flutter skills!
The Flutter sections (well over 500 pages) are a wonderful help and covers the latest features of the language. Areas such as state management and routes became clear, possibly because there were no conflicting examples, but the methodology presented works, and, as importantly, makes sense. Can things be done better? I don’t know (that’s why I bought the book). But at least now I have a firm base from which to explore.
About The Author
Alberto graduated from the University of Padua with a computer science degree and now works at SuperFormula as a full-time software engineer. On SuperFormula and his own projects, he uses Java to build-end and desktop apps and Dart and Flutter to build mobile apps and general web development.
He was amazed by Flutter for its incredible power and the huge community around him and since then he hasn’t looked back. So much that he even wrote an incredible book, The Complete Flutter Reference, which is the ultimate reference for Dart and Flutter.
