Book Description – Download Learning SQL pdf
Download Learning SQL pdf – You need to put data to work immediately away as it rushes into your firm, and SQL is the greatest tool for the job. Author Alan Beaulieu helps developers get up to speed on SQL essentials for developing database applications, performing administrative tasks, and generating reports in the latest version of this introductory guide. New chapters on SQL and big data, analytic functions, and working with very large databases have been included.
With numerous pictures and annotated examples, each chapter delivers a self-contained lecture on a crucial SQL subject or method. Exercises at the end of each chapter allow you to put what you’ve learned into practice. With this book, you’ll be able to:
- Quickly learn the fundamentals of SQL as well as a few advanced capabilities.
- To generate, manipulate, and retrieve data, use SQL data statements.
- SQL schema statements are used to create database objects such as tables, indexes, and constraints.
- Learn how datasets and queries interact, as well as the necessity of subqueries.
- Use SQL’s built-in functions to convert and manipulate data, as well as conditional logic in data statements.
There are many books out there that treat you like an idiot or another type of simpleton, but these books usually only scratch the surface. Reference guides on the other hand, which explain every permutation of every statement in a language, can be handy if you already have a decent concept of what you want to do but simply need the syntax. This book attempts to strike a balance by beginning with some background information on the SQL language, working through the fundamentals, and then moving on to some of the more advanced capabilities that will allow you to shine. This book also includes a chapter on querying data in nonrelational databases, which is a topic that is rarely discussed in basic texts.
