Book Description – Download Kotlin in Action pdf

Download Kotlin in Action pdf – Kotlin in Action shows you how to utilize the Kotlin programming language to create Java virtual machine and Android applications. It begins with a discussion of the language’s fundamental features before moving on to more unique aspects of Kotlin, such as its support for high-level abstractions and domain-specific languages. The book focuses on integrating Kotlin with existing Java projects and assisting you in incorporating Kotlin into your current workflow.

Kotlin in Action is geared toward developers who have some Java experience. Many concepts and methods from Java are used in Kotlin, and the book aims to get you up to speed quickly by leveraging your prior expertise. You may need to resort to other sources of material to grasp the more intricate parts of Kotlin’s interaction with the JVM if you’re new to Java or have expertise with other programming languages such as C# or Java-Script, but you’ll still be able to learn Kotlin using this book. Because the book focuses on the Kotlin language as a whole rather than a specific issue area, it should be equally valuable for server-side developers, Android developers, and anybody else working on JVM-based projects.

Kotlin 1.0 is covered in this book. Kotlin 1.1 was being developed at the same time as the book was being written, and we’ve referenced the changes in 1.1 whenever possible. However, because the new version is still in development as of this writing, we haven’t been able to present a complete list of features.
