About the Authors
William is an Emeritus Professor of Electrical Engineering at the State University of New York. His YouTube channel is YOUTUBE.COM/BILLKLEITZ. Professor Kletz completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSET) from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Engineering (M-Engineering) degree from Cornell University. For many years Professor Kleitz worked as an electrical engineer at New York State Electric & Gas, where he developed electric power distribution strategies and automation.
After NYSEG he started the Electrical Engineering Technology program at SUNY-TC3 and was the program president for 30 years. He has also conducted hundreds of training workshops for local manufacturers in the field of industrial electronics and automatic controls.
Professor Kletz has been awarded two New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) grants related to energy management. For these grants, he completed research on automated data acquisition and control of energy management systems.
