Book Description – Common Lisp Recipes pdf
Common Lisp Recipes pdf is intended for programmers who are already familiar with Common Lisp to some degree but lack the experience that comes from years of programming in a particular computer language. It’s written in a style that combines no-nonsense pragmatism with precise knowledge and judicious mentoring. Each issue or question is followed with ready-to-use example solutions and concise explanations of the topics involved, as well as connections to alternatives and additional information. Each recipe may be read independently of the others, earning the book a particular position on your bookshelves as a reference book you’ll want to have on hand at all times.
Common Lisp Recipes is the first Common Lisp book to cover advanced topics like environment access, logical pathnames, Gray streams, executable delivery, pretty-printing, set expansions, and changing the syntax of Common Lisp. It is also the first Common Lisp book to cover advanced topics like environment access, logical pathnames, Gray streams, executable delivery, pretty-printing, set expansions, and changing the syntax of Common Lisp. When building real-world Common Lisp programs, you’ll need to find solutions to issues and answers to queries. Web programming, databases, graphical user interfaces, integration with other programming languages, multi-threading, and mobile devices, as well as debugging techniques and optimization, are just a few of the topics covered in this book.
