Book Description – A Smarter Way to Learn JavaScript pdf

A Smarter Way to Learn JavaScript – The book takes a novel method, relying heavily on repetition in the activities to help you remember information. This is excellent. However, the exercise format is consistent throughout the book. This book has activities with instructions that are more akin to how you might approach an issue and instinctively talk yourself through a solution.

When it comes to sophisticated concepts like variable scope and prototypes, many students face a brick wall. Regrettably, they place the blame on themselves. That’s why Dummies books are so popular. The authors, however, are to blame, as they are code masters with no instructional ability. I’m the polar opposite of the normal author of a software book. I’ll never be able to code quickly enough to get a job at Google.

In any case, most comprehension issues are actually retention issues masquerading as comprehension issues. If you’re having trouble understanding variable scope, it’s because you’ve forgotten how functions work. You’ll always comprehend and remember everything you need to comfortably tackle the following idea thanks to the interactive workouts on my website.

About the Author

I started learning JavaScript by reading programming books a few years ago. I decided I must have lost some learning aptitude over the years because it was such a struggle. Then it dawned on me… I wasn’t a bad student. The books were terrible instructors! I battled my way through a dozen books and mastered JavaScript by sheer force of will. However, I had to create exercises for myself. I couldn’t remember anything if I didn’t practice. JavaScript, I discovered, isn’t all that difficult. It’s difficult because of the books. As a result, I wrote a book that explains JavaScript in simple terms. I developed 1,750 exercises for you because they are the only way to make the knowledge stick. I used to teach at Boston University’s Communications School.
